Watercolour anatomy study

Image
This is an abstract painting study on human anatomy which later on inspired a collection of more simpler studies. I  used pencil in the background to create sketched versions of the muscle movements. This emphasised the bold red colour that was used for the main anatomy

Experimental paintings

Image
These are a collection of experimental abstract paintings I created using watercolours and fine liner. They were created with the intent of complementing a previous abstract study on anatomy, however it evolved into a simpler focus on movements I found interesting. Here I focused more simply on muscle movement and the various linear strokes formed when muscles are stretched.

Small sculpture

Image
This is a mini project inspired by a bamboo grove I photographed in Ghana. I created a rough plan and worked from there continuing to adapt my ideas.

life-size female sculpture (~5'7)

Image
This is a life-size sculpture I made for the theme of Beauty and femininity". The sculpture takes influences from Niki De Saint Phalle and Rodin. I created a female version of Rodin's bronze soldier with accenting breast designs most commonly found on De Saint Phalle's Nanas, as well as the decorative snake that appears in some of her work.

Urban design project: planning

Image
For my EPQ I redesigned this site in Elephant and Castle New Kent Road SE1 4AG. To plan for this project I created various mapping plans as well as individual sketches for proposals, I also designed some public seating inspired by works from the local community gallery. For some I initially made experimental physical models. Although the whole area was modelled digitally. These are some elements of the planning.
